How to Find Out Who’s Pinning You on Pinterest

If you have a website then you want to make sure that it’s being promoted with Pinterest. It’s a great way to tap into the social world and have them spread your content for you.

As any marketer will tell you, it’s important to be able to track your progress on social media outlets like Pinterest so you can be sure they’re working for you and you’re having as much impact as possible. On many sites this can be difficult due to url shorteners, but thankfully on Pinterest that doesn’t come into play.

Seeing who’s pinned content from your site is actually quite easy simply go to the url

http://pinterest.com/source/yourwebsite.com

and replace “yourwebsite.com” with your actual website.
Then a page will show which has all of your pictures which have been shared, as well as the users who shared them, the categories they pinned them to and their comments.

While every website should have a presence on Pinterest, if you have a unique product or interesting pictures then you’re bound to show up on it eventually and it could be that magical tool you’re looking for.

Some industry sources are already reporting that Pinterest is generating more traffic then Google+, Youtube and Linked in combined!
